An educational consultant and award-winning educator, Gary is the author of the children’s book Science With Scarlett. He is also a double cornea transplant recipient who, since having his sight restored, was moved to use his teaching gifts to make science fun for kids. That led him to an illustrious career in science education, a trajectory into school leadership, and eventually a private practice in consulting. Gary has served in schools as a principal, science teacher, curriculum specialist, and college instructor. He launched his consulting firm in 2013 to help individuals and teams harness their learning power in personal, professional, and academic life through executive coaching, consulting, and workshops. Since then, Gary has worked with schools and organizations around the U.S. on educational projects and taught thousands of adults and young people. His clients have ranged from non-profits and investment banking firms to K-12 schools and universities; he has spoken at TEDxDetroit, the Michigan Governor’s Education Summit, and the Lions Club International State Convention, among numerous conferences around the country. Gary is the 2014 Michigan Teacher of the Year. Learn more at SagaEducators.org.
